Correlation between making perfect ______ and being a good cook.

I've often heard that there's a direct correlation between a person's egg skills and their skills in the kitchen. Apparently, being able to make eggs perfectly is a very good indication of how good of a cook you are.

I suppose the egg test is pretty good, but I've noticed that if someone can cook rice well or roast a chicken without drying the hell out of it, they're generally pretty good in the kitchen.

What about everyone else? Do you have any foods you think are a good indication of some one's skill level in the kitchen?
