Saturday Night Drinks

I'm enjoying a delicious Sidecar made with Brandy de Jerez, Cointreau, and fresh lemon juice (no sugar). What are you drinking this Saturday night?

A shot of Nyquil, neat, with a water back.

*cough*

Great Topic!!!

switching between sloe gin fizzes with plymouth sloe gin and gin rickey's made with the brand new Old Tom Gin (I love Eric Seed!) and will probably move on to absinthe frappes with Kubler before I head down to San Gennaro for some pastries and trashy bridge and tunnel chicks....However, where we all should be is celebrating Lenell Smother's 5th year anniversary over in Red Hook!!!

Best liquor store in the world!!!!

lol, Southern_bella! And get well soon. I'm a nursing mom so I'm having about 2 gallons of water, on the rocks.

Starting off with a calimocho (3/4 red wine and 1/4 coke) and then going out for a Tom Collins.

I love not working Saturday nights.

I was canning pears poached in spiced Madeira, and happened to have some leftover Madeira (infused with cinnamon, bay leaves, cloves and well, pears) - it turned out to be quite spectacular.

I love drinking red wine and coke. My friends think I'm nuts... I'm drinking sparkling lime mineral water tonight though.

Well, it is Sunday now and I am sitting down, after suffering through a bridal shower, to a very chilled glass of KJ Chard. Got a case of it in Cape Cod last week for $9.99 per bottle. Never see that in my neck of the woods. ;-)

Sunday afternoon--keeping up with the Dolphins game on the computer 'cause the game is not on TV --having a vodka/tonic/fresh lime juice--oh my a 79 yard TD by Arizona--looks like I'll be having a few more. Who drinks more when your team stinks?????????

Steelers playing late today (at 8), so we must remain sober 'til kick-off. After that, I have all the fixin's for a dirty martini (Sloli's already in the freezer). Screw the beer. Not working tomorrow!

At least you don't NEED to drink to watch your team. Hope they win but I am concerned with big Ben as he seems to have the injury bug buzzing around him. Ya know Cleveland would just love to take him out.

@fins - You're right. When it comes to Cleve-Pitt games, there's no assumption on who will win the rivalry - thus the advent of heavy alcohol. Ben's been through worse. At least our coach doesn't minimize/distort players' injuries unlike a New England coach who I won't mention. Whoe! Got off topic there. Time to hit the booze and soak my wings!

@Josdean yes -- waaaay off topic but true that! btw n.e has 2 whole field goals-- go jets ( I can't believe I'm rooting for the jets)

@ Fins - Forget to say that Marino went to our rival Catholic high school, lived 10 mins. from me, and I trained his girlfriend, (now wife), Claire, as a greeter at a local restaurant. Small world, huh?

Great story!! It IS a small world. Gotta lot of relatives in the Mt. Pleasant area so I do root for the Stealers as long as they are not playing the Phins. Mr. & Mrs. Marino have come alllllooooong way haven't they.

Back on topic... Not a football fan!

Now it's Sunday night and I'm enjoying a chilled glass of Austrian Gruner Veltliner

Go browns, but then again where's the booze? Bloody mary to start, now just shots of vodka and beer to chase.

This has got to be the most digustng s#@t I heard from some college girls after a college game Sat. night. Beer, vodka and Koolaid, just the sound of that so called drink gave me a hangover and I haven't even had a drink yet. Now as for me Heinie Lights.
