otis spunkmeyers lemon muffins

Had houseguests this past weekend and they left me with a three pack of these bad boys. Any suggestions, as I do not eat muffins with what I can do with them? Dessert suggestions are very welcome.

I'd love to help you, but I've never been able to bring myself to eat anything with "Spunkmeyer" in it's name.

break them up and make a bread pudding? Who is Otis Spunkmeyers?

all i can think of it crumbling them and turning them into a trifle of some sort. maybe dilute the processed flavor with some fruit?

How about grilling them then making a hot sweet icing to drizzle on top?

Otis Spunkmeyers is a brand of dessert food, I guess you could say. They have cookies and muffins etc. They seem to be pretty popular as they have school fundraisers which utilize this product.

Thanks Butrflygirly. I'm so old the some of my 'grands' are in grad school lol no wonder I haven't heard of them.
Thanks a great idea .. grilling them. I grill pound cake for strawberry short cake.

They used to be popular in my college a la carte dining places--the cookies, not the muffins. They are super, super oily, though--I would give them away since they're not really dry enough to do much with---you could give stuffing or dressing a go, like lemon poppyseed stuffing for chicken.

As Heart said, stuffing might be a good choice. Mix them with some crumbled cornbread to mask the processed flavor and suck up the oil.

Stuffing!! I might just make up a batch of lemon poppy seed muffins and
stuff a chicken this weekend! : )

thank you. I like the trifle idea and the shortcake idea. As always the SE talkbackers come through

No problem Nana. :)

They haven't been around all that long...I think they may have come about while I was in High School-I do believe (if memory serves me right). I'm 30 now....
