Describe your Presidential Candidates victory meal !
McCain/Palin -
Arugula salad with sliced pears and goat cheese: 2.5 inch veal chops, whipped sweet potatoes with cinnamon, butter & sugar, fresh green bean bundles tied with a bacon strip cooked in olive oil, garlic in a hot skillet until lightly brown.
I'd finish this meal with a lovely panacotta drizzled with honey.

I would think McCain and Palin would go more for game meats--like venison or elk. Perhaps salmon or king crab.

@ beth1 Good bead on that Beth. Palin is in the land of God's country. For McCain...he is an Arizona guy where salmon and king crab is not a "fresh" state for seafood. That's why I went with the veal....my husband is a retired 30 year naval captain aviator and I really appreciate navy families!!

Good Talk topic (provided everyone acts respectfully)!
Obama/Biden: sliced squash, zucchini, onion, and sweet potato frittata with light maple syrup glaze and red chili flakes. Wilted arugula and spinach salad with walnuts, parboiled green beans, and lemon vinaigrette. For dessert, roasted plum tartelettes with vanilla bean and rose-champagne sorbet.
dianeb, the non-vegetarian me of a few years ago might have been swayed by your delicious meal! ;)

After some thought, I think it would be a good idea for whoever wins to donate the amount of money that he would have spent on a victory dinner to a food charity (Second Harvest, a soup kitchen, something). The people who attend these victory dinners have so much money they've never been without a meal. Let it go to the less fortunate.

LOL HeartofGlass! Michelle Obama was on Paula's Party this weekend. She loved Paula's fried shrimp, and said that Barack and kids were big wing fans. If McCain's wife was on a different week, I missed it, but family members from both parties have been clogging the airways.
Obama/Clinton (yes, Clinton): Wings and Big Macs. (LOL!)
McCain/Palin: Prime Rib and Smoked salmon/ostrich/moose/elk/deer/etc.
I say YUCK to all of the above!
