Any good restaurants in Cancun?
It seems if it is a "party" destination good food/restaurant are practically non-existence. Are there any good restaurants anyone can recommend in Cancun? Please no exports from the US. :)

Actually while Cancun is well known for its night clubs and night life, it is not simply a party destination. I too used to think of Cancun as a party destination and very commercial. This of course was before I first visited Cancun back in 2005.
I have traveled all over the Caribbean and because of my pre-conceived notions regarding Cancun I always stayed away. Then in 2005 I decided to go and been back about 20 times since. Cancun offer tons of great restaurants and is by far one of the best Caribbean destinations bar none. Cancun is a very popular destination for people of all ages and over the past few years Cancun has actually been positioning itself as a more upscale destination with most of the hotels now no longer allowing anyone under 21 to rent rooms
Some of the better restaurants are as follows
PUERTO MADERO
Thai
Harry’s Steak House
Lorenzillo's
There are also tons of places to go at reasonable prices as well
Below is a link that lists a lot of these restaurants

And here is a link to TA which has reviews by guests

We ate at La Habichuela, which is in the downtown area, away from the hotel zone (but cheaply & easily accessible via the bus). It was quite nice.

My mom and I found a branch of the Mexican chain 100% Natural (cien por ciento natural) by accident while wandering around the downtown area. We were highly impressed with this excellent vegetarian and healthy twist on the often meat- and grease-heavy options. More of a lunch spot, and has plenty of chile available that packs a good kick.

I agree. 100% Natural (two locations) is a great place for breakfast or lunch!
There's an abundance of excellent restaurants in Cancun.
Personally, we avoid the American chain restaurants.
For a really fun night, Pericos is a great place to dine. (food's average, but it's worth going just for the "experience").
Limoncello is great for Italian food.

If you don't mind getting out of Cancun proper, travel a few miles south of town to Puerto Morelos and go to John Gray's Kitchen. John was the chef at the Ritz Carlton in Cancun at one point and really knows what the hell he's doing. Creative menu, very fresh ingredients (especially seafood - most was caught the day it's served) and the town itself is still pretty unspoiled.
