Where to take my girlfriend in Chinatown?

I love eating in Chinatown, I'll try almost anything, almost anywhere. My girlfriend is also enthusiastic about trying food, but she's real stickler for cleanliness and good lighting in restaurants. That's just how she rolls. Can anyone recommend a clean, well-lit place in Chinatown with great food at a reasonable price? Any go-to places? Thanks so much!

hop kee @ 21 mott street. probably the least romantic restaurant in chinatown, but i would argue it's the cleanest and best lit. it's also my favorite place, been going for 20+ years - awesome food, decent service, decent prices, no decor.

Go to Shanghai Cafe at 100 Mott Street. It's a sleek and clean restaurant with plenty of open space and bright light.

And their food is excellent, especially the dumplings, and super-especially my favorite dessert, the sesame-filled rice ball.

Ping's seafood is a classy joint.

jing fong is the biggest dim sum place (i think) in chinatown, food is great and it meets your criteria :)

Dim Sum Go-Go is pretty clean and their dim sum is serverd to order, so it doesn't seem like your food is sitting out for too long (plus they serve it all day).

Joe's Ginger is clean and has a really nice staff and their soup dumplings are amazing.

if you can forget about your surroundings, great ny noodletown has fantastic bbq and soups.

Thanks for all the recomendataions, guys! We'll try all of them, for certain.
