Not the Himalayan pink salt, the kind used to make cured meats and fish, with nitrites or nitrates in it. I've tried a number of neighborhood stores (Garden of Eden, Gristede's, Health Nuts, Gourmet Garage) and have called Fairway, Zabar's and Wholefoods, and no one seems to have any. Of course, no one seems to really understand what it is I'm asking for either...

Before I just order some on the old internets, I was wondering if anyone knew where I might find some. My next attempt was going to be Sur La Table (didn't want to go that far) or to start calling random butcher shops. Any suggestions? I've got some arctic char fillets, pork bellies and jowls in the fridge waiting for their cure. Thanks!
