What and where to eat in Florida
Anybody have some good recommendations/secrets about where I can get some amazing food in either Tallahassee, Miami, or Homestead, Florida?

Miami -- you have to get to Michael's Genuine Food & Drink. A stop by Michy's wouldn't be a bad idea either. Others will have their favorite suggestions. Those are my top two.
I spent 5 years in Tallahassee not too long ago (go Seminoles!); it's not exactly known for great food. That said, there are some places worth checking out. JB's Barbecue in Thomasville, GA is great and not too far of a drive. Nicholson's Farmhouse in Havana, FL (close to Tally) used to be worth a drive but I've heard it's slipped since I left town. Cypress Restaurant is my favorite fine dining spot in town -- despite its name, it's upscale southern cuisine, not Mediterranean. An old classic is Chez Pierre -- it's in a beautiful old house and the food is solid. For a cute lunch, check out Kool Beanz Cafe.
Homestead -- I don't make it there very often, but I remember El Toro Taco having pretty authentic Mexican food and a bit of local charm. Try to visit Schnebly Redland's Winery -- they make wine out of tropical fruit juices. Sound gross and sickeningly sweet? That's what I thought, but I was really pleasantly surprised. You'll leave with a case, I promise. Plus the grounds are beautiful.
Enjoy the sunshine!

It's true, Tallahassee doesn't have much good food, but I agree with you on Cypress. Anthony's Provence is nice too, and Chez Pierre is on my list. Thanks.
