The Cooking Loft? Anne Burrell?
So, I wandered over to FN because my Tivo did not pick up Ann's show for two Sundays. What happened to her show?
While I was looking around, I saw an ad for a new show called The Cooking Loft. It kind of looked promising. Has anyone else seen the ad?

I think Burrell is shooting more shows and I also saw that ad for the Cooking Loft. Looks like cooking lessons to students but filmed. Who knows? Maybe it will be a winner? Maybe the added angle of the students will make a difference?

I'm still a bit peeved that my review of one of her recipes (pork chops) never made it to the website. It was critical but not entirely so.
Anyone else tried any of her dishes?

She is shooting 13 more shows...but why are her recipes no longer available on the website? Perhaps they're compiling a future best seller and need to be selfish with the freebie info. Who knows with them?
Iron Chef Cora vs. Psalkis has been rerunned 4 times in 5 days and if I see one more chicken cookoff challenge I'm gonna smash the set in!

The Cooking Loft seems to be a very similar concept to that show they used to have called CookWorks. Where people went to a kitchen to learn recipes and different cooking skills. I used to enjoy CookWorks a lot. I liked the recipes, the chef, the mixologist and that it was shot in film, not in video, so the food looks even better. We'll see if this Cooking Loft is up to par.

All of the recipes appear to still be on the site.

i wish they had posted something on the show's page on the website. Like more shows to come this fall or something.

Renzata- I also tried the brined pork chop recipe and made the Swiss chard accompaniment. I have never brined before so I have no benchmark, but they were awfully salty. The chard was also a bit on the salty side. I would definitely make both again, but will cut back on the salt.
The fennel crust was a nice touch. Didn't have the "pollen" so I toasted and pulverized some fennel seeds.

I was also wondering about The Cooking Loft. The host(ess?) has been a judge on ICA several times and I liked her on there so I'm hoping it will be a show worth watching. I haven't caught any of Anne Burrell's show yet, darn it.
