A colleague of mine at work a couple of days ago brought in what seemed like a good idea at the time: candy corn-flavored Hershey's kisses. Now, I like Hershey's kisses as much as the next person, and some of their extensions on that line have been really tasty (the caramel ones are wonderful). However, this particular kind...well...not so much. It reminded me of the various types of candy that you would dread getting whiel trick-or-treating as a child. You know the ones...and they were differnet for everyone. I never liked the taffy or (choke) the off-brand Smarties (only the real ones would do).
What were the ones that you dreaded during this time of year? Whether they were what you tried to trade after Halloween or whether (worse yet) your parents bought them because they liked them, and then you forced to eat them, due to a lack of other candy in the house (really, mom: Nestle Crunch? Are you kidding me? Yuck!)
And more than that, what were your favorites? My mother made up for the Crunch bars when she would finally relent and get the mini Snickers, Kit Kat or Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (which I swear have gotten smaller over the years, by the way).
