Morningside Heights Recommendation for Saturday
I'm doing the Harlem Health-a-thon on Saturday morning. The walk ends at Bradhurst Ave and 149th St around 10 am. It would be great to find a brunch spot in the neighborhood and try something new.
Any recommendations?

That's a little north of Morningside Heights, but no worries. How about Margie's Red Rose Diner? If you want to totally undo the benefits of the Health-a-thon, Charles Southern Style Kitchen will be nearby, too.

Margie's and Charles Southern Style Kitchen are both good suggestions. Talay at 139th and 12th Avenue is good, but check if they do brunch. Also there used to be a Spoonbread 2 up near there. I don't know if it's still open.

Yeah, that is north of the (m) heights. If you want to come down a bit, there's Pisticci on LaSalle (approx 124) and Broadway. Excellent hidden italian neighbourhood joint, I go there once per week.
Community Food and Juice is a relatively new place between 112/113 on Broadway - it does a really nice brunch and has injected a new standard into the neighbourhood. Bistro Le Monde on the same block is pretty good.
Kitchenette on amsterdam/122 is great for breakfast, brunch. Very homey.
