Major Pet Peeve

So, I have this pet peeve and though trivial and maybe even kind of weird, it's getting worse and worse everyday. I have a major problem with vegans- not because they're vegans, but because of the way they name their food.

Vegans have a tendency to use "normal" food terms and apply it to their weird vegan food. For example, a friend of mine stopped by my house with some take out she grabbed at a local vegan restaurant. I asked her what she ordered and she said "vegan chili cheese fries." The fact that the food had to be prefaced by the word "vegan" made me know that it wasn't going to resemble actual chili cheese fries in any way. She pulled out her food and lo and behold they were wafer thin pita strips smothered in hummus and soy cheese. HOW IS THAT CHILI CHEESE FRIES IN ANY WAY?! Why can't vegans name their foods with apt descriptions, why rip off actual delicious food terms only to present something TOTALLY different? I was on Tastespotting a few moments ago and there was a recipe for "cheese straws without an ounce of dairy," well then they're not really cheese straws, are they?

Does this bother anyone else or have I completely lost my mind? Does anyone have any strange kitchen/food pet peeves that drive them absolutely nuts for no particular reason?
