Light, fresh, tasty foods for rock stars?

This Sunday I am catering a concert. This means I'm feeding the rock stars. The requirements are that there be both vegetarian and meat food, some with and some without dairy, and that the fare be light, fresh, and flavorful. It's been ungodly hot, and they're coming off a southern tour leg, so I want to give them the best I can. I plan on hitting the farmers market to get tasty local food. Suggestions? I'm thinking a couple salads (caprese and something else), a pasta of some manner with optional meat topping, a cheese and crackers tray, and I'm not sure what else. Need to feed around 12-15 (three bands). I have some fennel in the fridge but I'm not sure what I would do with it if I used it... I will be bringing an assortment of cupcakes for desserts.

my suggestion would be a 'burrito/taco bar'. Include fillers such as carnitas, grilled chicken and fish, grilled peppers and onions, refried and/or black beans, salsas, sliced radish, limes, cheeses, lettuce, etc etc... that way..the rock stars could make their own according to their preferences.

I just had a pool party for friends with the need to please both carnivors, vegetarians and people who had intolerances towards milk and sugars.

I made:
Veggie pasta with roasted garlic, crushed tomotoes, artichokes, onions, yellow pepper. Wonderful hot, also refreshingly delicious but filling cold.

Chilled sliced baby cucumbers marinated with sesame oil

BBQ chicken for meat eaters

Little individual egg plant parms with a dab of tomato sauce, fresh mozz and fresh basil. Cheese can be omitted very easily.

I took advantage of the season with incredible sweet, tender corn, just boiled, they were sweet enough that they dont need any condiments of any kind.

Some Okinawan sweet potatoes, roasted for a sweet treat, and also a novelty that some people might never have seen.

Fresh cool pineapple and watermelon for dessert

We also had salted edamame for nibbles throughout the party while food had yet to be served.

Everyone, meat eater or vegetarian alike seemed to like everything, so I consider it a success.

Thai lettuce wraps
Depending on the budget, sushi
Gyoza (or some other dumpling)
Fennel goes well with red onions and citrus viniagrette (shave the onion and fennel), add some orange segments, and a little spinach or other green of your choice, and some cracked black pepper.

If they are performing after they eat make sure nothing will afflict them.
If it is after the concert then go ahead and go hot and spicy.
People who perform need energy. Make the food high energy.
Also easy to eat if they are trying not to get dirty and look good.
When you make your menu let is see it.

Lots of fruits and vegetables! I work in the music industry, and whenever I cook for bands, they are always happy to get fresh, healthful food - the opposite of what they can find on the road. Your menu sounds good so far, but I would recommend adding a vegetable side dish or two in addition to the salads, and offering various fresh fruits for dessert. Anything home-cooked is going to taste awesome though!

Definitely some fresh fruits. Those guys get dehydrated from the lights and adrenaline and jumping around. If there is an appetizer part of the meal up front, maybe even a plate of eat-out-of-hand fruits up with the cheese platter.

Good luck and have fun.

Nothing hot...how about a salad buffet with fruit, veggie, pasta, and meat salads? have really good rolls and crackers on the side.

How did it go? What did you end up making?
