Killer Five Guys topping combos?

Do you have a winning combo of burger and toppings at Five Guys? According to the website, the topping options are:

Mayo, relish, onions, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, fried onions, sauteed mushrooms, ketchup, mustard, jalepeno peppers, green peppers, A-1 sauce, Bar-B-Q sauce and hot sauce.

My fav combo is: A little bacon cheeseburger (1 pattie) with onions, ketchup, hot sauce and green peppers.

What's yours?

I like a little burger, grilled onion, pickles. Maybe ketchup.

Five Guys...Mmmm...That place rules.

I like: mayo, ketchup, pickles, and lettuce. Done.

bacon cheese, grilled onion, ketchup, mayo. Fries cajun, well done.

Bacon, mushrooms, fried onions and lettuce.

Now I want a burger...

I've never been there but they are opening one in Patriots Place (Foxboro MA) pretty soon. Guess I'll have to check it out : )

Cheese, tomato, lettuce, pickle, onion. That's it.
But at Fatburger fried egg, onion, tomato......I am soooo very happy there is not one close unlike 5 Bro's. as I would be there often....too often.

Grilled onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, pickles. lettuce. Mustard on top bun, BBQ sauce on the bottom bun.

Double burger, bacon, barbeque sauce, raw onion and pickles!!

Depends on my mood.

Bacon double cheese, fried onions, mushrooms, mayo. Simple.

Little bacon cheese, lettuce, tom, raw onion, pickle, mayo, little mustard, little ketchup. Classic.

A handful of peanuts while we wait.

I like the cajun fries with ketchup. Hubby likes the regular fries with malt vinegar.

Though it's been several months since my last visit.

cheese, grilled onions, sauteed mushrooms, and A1 sauce.

we just got a couple of Five Guys around here, hmm i guess i should give them a chance rather than just dismissing them as another version of RR

I moved west a little over a year ago and I miss Five Guys SO MUCH. Everyone out here can't stfu about how amazing In-n-out Burger is ... but it thoroughly sucks compared to Five Guys. Unfortunately, I've only found one person who's been to both places to back me up so no one believes me.

But anyways. My memories of Five Guys are all coming back, and I'm recalling mushrooms/grilled onions/cheese/bbq sauce, as well asmy standard for all burgers: ketchup and mustard.

Must.go.visit.home.again.soon ...

@ Joyy: I live on the east coast, but grew up on the west coast, and I couldn't aggree with you more about the superiority of Five Guys to In-N-Out. Although everything is fresh at In-N-Out and its a cool place and everything, I just don't think it can compare to the meaty satisfaction of a good 5 Guys burger...

cheese, lettuce, tomato, raw onion, ketchup,

then ask for A-1 and hot sauce on the side, and mix it together. having it on the burger is a bit much, but having it on the side and adding little by little makes a pretty nice combo.

fried onion, raw onion, lettuce and mushrooms. I sometimes get double raw onion plus the fried onion! Wanna smell my breath? We had a 5 guys in DE and I miss them now that I am in OK.

I love Five Guys and indulge about once a month. Like butrflygirly, I think they're perfect with mayo, ketchup, pickles, and lettuce. The lettuce is fresh, pickles are Mount Olive, and the mayonnaise is Admiration brand, which in my opinion is better than Hellmanns. I know they're a chain and have heard that quality varies among franchises, but the three in my area are consistently good. I've never been to In & Out, but I'm surprised that in reading comparisons between them and Five Guys on other forums (specifically Chowhound and Roadfood), most seem to prefer In & Out. A few people I know whose opinions I respect that have been to both prefer Five Guys. Jason Perlow of Off The Broiler is one. Hope to make it to In & Out someday to form my own opinion.

Bacon cheeseburger, mushrooms, extra cheese. Regular fries, please.

I eat one of these a week: Bacon cheeseburger, lettuce, tomato, raw onion, pickles, ketchup, mayo and mustard. So F'in good! I used to be a huge fan of In n Out, would eat there a few times a week when I go to visit my parents in Arizona but when I discovered Five Guys, In n Out isn't as good as it used to be.

Five Guys opened their first restaurant/burger "parlor" in Alexandria, Virginia. I believe they are an excellent franchise opportunity for anyone looking to be a small business owner. There is a Five Guys at Reagon National Airport! I am not surprised that their franchise business has taken off the way it has. Make my burger with mustard, onions and pickles!!!

Not exactly killer, but I always go with the Cheeseburger or Little Cheeseburger with ketchup, mayo, pickles, raw onions and lettuce. And the regular fries.

Now if only they had shakes...

I order two double burgers.

Both with mustard, ketchup, mayo and pickles.

One w/ fried onions.

One w/ raw onions.

Regular fries w/ the malt vinegar.

Five Guy's rocks. I must have one today. Good thing there are two locations within a half hour from me. Not too far, not too close. Otherwise, I might be on Lipitor.

BTW, 2009 should be the year of the burger. Let us make it so.

Cheeseburger (or little cheeseburger) with tomatoes, pickles and ketchup. Sometimes onions.

In general do like lettuce on my burgers, but Five Guys' iceburg lettuce is always disappointing.

NEVER ketchup. My opinion is that it's for fries/rings/children.

Double w/cheese, raw onion, pickles, lettuce, tomato, mustard. Classic.

Double w/ grilled onions, pickles, mustard/ketchup. done and done.

Not only do they have good burgers, I tried their Bacon Cheese Hot Dog. WOW. Never thought I would have liked it-always thought there was too much goin on-but it's good. I'll have mine with Ketchup.

@hotdoglover: Glad I am not the only one. My BF thinks I am crazy for the combo. I tell him he doesn't know what good is. :)

Butrflygirly,

As much as I love hot dogs (I write about them and lead a yearly Hot Dog Tour in N.J.) I've only had the hot dog at Five Guys once or twice. And it's a quality hot dog, easily better than what you get at your average hot dog joint here in N.J. Which is saying a lot. They split and grill a tasty Hebrew National frank. But I can't pass up the burger and fries. Since a Five Guys opened in my town, I go there often, probably too often. I hate onions, but have tried many different topping combinations. All of the toppings are good, but my favorite is ketchup, mayo, pickles, and lettuce. That's the only way I get them now.

I don't know if there is a secret ingredient in these burgers because they are so addictive. And it's not that there is a lack of choices. There is an abundance of good burger joints in my area.

@hotdoglover: I hear ya. It was by chance I had the Hot Dog. As delicious as it is, I really don't think I can pass up the burgers and fries also. Love those Cajun Fries. I keep on saying that combo is best out there, and yet, I am still ridiculed. I just look at it as their loss. I think they put crack or something in the burgers. They are too darn good!! Almost went there last night since we were talking about it, but made Shrimp Scampi instead. Bought some shrimp and had to cook it up...
