Fresh Peaches
I have a lovely tree in my backyard that is just perfectly ripe. Now. What is your favorite way to fix/eat them?

Peaches in red wine is a delicious, simple dessert.

I love peaches so much, I'll eat them almost any way I can get them!
Nonny's idea about grilling them with a good balsamic glaze is awesome. And, fresh Bellini's.... sooooo delicious! And, CheesePlease's idea of serving them in wine is amazing, as well. I prefer mine in Sauternes, but my Italian ancestors always had theirs in red wine.
I also make cobblers, pies, ice cream, sorbet... the usual things people do with peaches. I just love them.
Martha Stewart's recipe for Peach and Creme Fraiche Pie is delectable, and one you can serve to company and still get raves! Here is the link:

Peach Cobbler of course. And here is THE EASIEST recipe I've ever seen. If you start prep'ing at the point you preheat the oven, you will most likely be ready before the oven is, and it's awesome. Just be sure to have some vanilla ice cream on hand.
