Eating in NYC with 10 and 11 year old boys!!

We are going to New York City for fall break and staying at the Grand Hyatt in Manhattan. Any ideas on good restaurants for us to take our 10 and 11 year old boys?

The first 2 places that come to mind are Jekyll and Hyde and Max Brenner: Chocolate by the Bald Man. They're kid-friendly, the food is reasonably priced, and the quality is pretty good. I don't usually recommend theme restaurants or "tourist traps," but I can't imagine a 10 year old boy not loving monsters or chocolate.

If you're feeling adverturous, hop on the "N" down to Coney Island, check out the amusement park, and get some authentic Nathan's hot dogs. Another no-fail plan for kids!

Go to Chinatown, as most kids like Chinese food, and it is not expensive. You might also go to Little Italy, or the restaurant Otto(Mario Batali's fun pizza, tapas place) There are a zillion hamburger places, but I like Maxie's Grill(part of Angelo and Maxies near 19

As I didn't finish my comment: Maxies grill is on 19th st, and has good food, sports on tvs, informal atmosphere.
Blue Smoke for barbecue
Dallas bbq(multi locations)
Southwest- tex-mex--, food is ok, but it is at the World financial center, so it is on the Hudson river
Ruby Foo's- touristy but fun for kids

My 10-year-old nephews love Mars 2112, on Broadway at 51st St--a kind of space-themed sci-fi restaurant. They also really like Churrascaria Plataforma, on 49th and 8th, a Brazilian grill, where red and green discs indicate to passing waiters whether you want more kinds of meat, in addition to the amazing salad bar.

But the boys also love eating anywhere that's interesting--don't feel like you have to go down-market or kid-themed to have a decent family meal. They're never too young to be taught to appreciate good food!

Shake Shack is definitely worth a visit, especially if the weather is nice.
