Bon Appetit Magazine

Is anyone else missing about 10 - 15 pages of their Bon Appetit magazine this month? The section after the women chefs is just a repeat of some of the middle pages of the mag, upside down. For the first installment of a subscription that I've been waiting for for months, I almost cried when I realized that most of the recipes I wanted were missing! lol

Mine had all it's pages, but I thought the women chefs article could have used about 4 more! I was really disappointed that the "article" conmsisted of glamour shots and about one quote each. I think they missed a great opportunity there!

Did they do a recipe from each chef? My issue only has recipes from two of them.

I too think they were a little too made up. Okay, so I DO wear makeup when I'm on the line (really, makes me feel human), but not like that! I really do wish there was more meat (no pun intended) to that article.

I don't mind the makeup...I wore it on the line every day too (at least I started out the day that way!) I just thought they had a few good questions that I would have liked to here their different perspectives on.....oh well

@scarletini: I used to work at a magazine. Sounds like a "signature" (probably 16 pages) got dropped twice into the magazine (one upside down) and another signature got missed.

These things happen in the bindery when machines jam, or maybe someone opened a door on a windy day. It's amazing how well things usually come together.

Call them. I bet they'll send you another copy real quick.

Ha! I wish there were pages missing from mine. How about all those multiple-page ad layouts for products and services that people who actually cook for a living (like myself) could never afford! (It's ok, I wouldn't even really want to go on a cruise with Cat Cora anyway)
And yes, the article on the women chefs could have been much longer. A one page q&a with several women at once was not enough.

Hi,
You should let the magazine know about the bad copies, they'll probably send you a new one. Also, there's a podcast that goes with the women chef's story on their website that has the whole conversation.

mine didnt have that problem... i'm glad, too, because i used it for a dinner party. towards the back there is a recipe for bbq brisket, and BLUE CHEESE AND BACON COLESLAW. i just used my grandma's brisket recipe, much simpler. the coleslaw was the bomb!
