So Emeril left FN for FLN and?

They have put the challenge shows in it's place. I have to ask, couldn't they "attempt" to get our attention with at least ONE original program? Or something else worthy of our effort to view? Perhaps some of the classic all time great retired FN shows? Does anyone else think Susie is canoodling with Bob? Sorry, I wandered off for a sec.

This is " killing me Larry " I can not believe they would not replace Emeril
with something more substantial or original. What is happening to the FN?
@izatryt, Yes they seem thick as thieves!!

Martha "bought" Emeril. He is now a member of the MSL stable of entities. It was all over the news a while ago.

@chiff - I am aware of that purchase. Since they had so much notice of his impending departure, couldn't they come up with a decent show to replace Emeril in that time slot?

@iz - Are you kidding? I'm still waiting for a decent replacement to David Rosengarten's show Taste!! You've got years until FN lands another half decent cook. As physical and boisterous as she is, we're very lucky to have Anne Burrell. At least she's cooking real food.

Unless TVFN can reinvent itself - hopefully going for a "retro" feel and adding better cooks and not "food in an instant" cooks - They're going to continue to flounder.

@chiff......Just another FN disappointment in a long line of FN disappointments.

I will watch Anne Burrell. Her second show didn't really bother me.

@izatryt - I'm not even disappointed. I keep my FN expectations low enough to avoid any disappointment:-).

@brooke - I am an eternal optimist?

@iz - and I admire you for that:-)

Slightly off-topic here, but how's the Food Network doing with their choice of instant food shows and challenges compared to cooking/learning shows. Are they doing better this way?

Of course, I liked the old way...
