I pulled a leg of lamb out of the freezer, with plans on deboning it and grilling it...but...
DH is having some dental work that's gonna mean he's not going to be comfortable biting and/or chewing for a while. I'm not sure how uncomfortable it's going to be, but I'd prefer to make it as easy as possible right at the beginning.
So now I'm trying to think of what I can do with my nearly-defrosted lamb that will be easy for him to eat. I don't want to re-freeze it.
RIght now, the only thing I can think of is grinding it and making shepherd's pie, which isn't exactly summer food. But it would fit the bill nicely, since there's no need to bite or chew. And I could still whack off a hunk of it and grill that for myself for lunches for a day or two.
Anybody got any other ideas for the lamb?
