Myrtle Beach Eats
Hi Everyone-I'm headed to Myrtle Beach this weekend with my family, and was wondering if anyone knew any good places to eat out. There are so many restaurants to choose from, so I would love some suggestions!
Thanks.

If everyone in your family is of legally-offended age, I'd say head over to Dick's Last Resort in Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, for an entertaining, yet insulting meal. (the funny insulting/rude service is expected and what the place is famous for)
If anyone in your family gets offended easily though, or can't appreciate rude humor, skip it.
(I haven't been there since a pre-bachelorette party meal about 10 years ago but I'm assuming it's still rude business as usual there)
If you're lucky, you'll get a big tall paper hat with an insult written on it for everyone else to point and laugh at but you're not supposed to know what it says.

oh man that brings back memories... good times, good times.

Erm, Southern_bella you do know that "big tall paper hat" is supposed to represent a condom right?
I can't say I ever had a bad meal down there, it was more about the atmosphere of family and friends though.

@bobcatsteph3 = yep ;) they just did them as big tall hats when we were there though, no reservoir tips on ours :P

Myrtle Beach is a great place to vacation with your family, however, it is not known for having great food. What it is known for is the calabash style...huge buffets of mediocre food loaded with salt and fat...and you'll experience those who have no shame in piling their plates to the brim...not to mention the extraordinary lines waiting to get inside to experience this! Not for me. However, I have great memories taking my children there. There's lots to do and the children love it! Go south of MB to the small fishing villages...great seafood restaurants offering the freshest seafood cooked to order! Hope you have fun with your family!

Thanks everyone. This Dick's Last Resort sounds quite amusing, and I might have to convince my family to take a trip there.
Any other suggestions are great--something reasonably priced for a family of 6 plus one grandpa, and another family of 4 that will be with us.

Don't know if it's still there, but we had some great seafood at Drunken Jacks in S. Myrtle. You could dine inside or out. It's been years, so hurricanes may have washed it away. If not, put it on your list.
