Hawaiian fruit salad
Here in Michigan, Meijer deli sold a "hawaiian fruit salad". It had pineapple and coconut it also has a creamy base. Does anyone out there know what all was in it? Thanks for your help.

I know you're looking for a specific fruit salad recipe... but if you take an acid fruit salad and mix it with either vanilla or plain yogurt, it might just do the trick. Add the coconut flakes or even macadamia nuts to make it even more hawaiian...

Ugh, I hate it when things are labeled "Hawaiian" just because it has pineapple and coconut in it. I never had Hawaiian pizza until I had one at a Pizza Hut (and hated it).
I'm sure the fruit salad you mentioned is as good as any ambrosia I've had minus the marshmallows. The ambrosia I've had had a mixture of sour cream and whipped cream, with practically disintegrated miniature marshmallows.
