Where to buy champagne glasses

I'm looking to buy a nice pair of champagne glasses to use when I propose to my girlfriend. Can anyone recommend a good place in the city to shop where there would be a large collection to choose from?

Baccarat has a lovely set of Dom Perignon Champagne flutes that I've been drooling over for months. They are totally over the top but guaranteed to become an instant heirloom (your children and grandchildren could use them to propose!!).... yeah, I am a total romantic sap. Congrats and let us know how it goes!!

you could go to one of the major department stores and look at their crystal collections.

Art glass places sometimes have interesting stuff...I've also seen neat ones at art fairs that have pewter stems.

Congratulations on your impending engagement!

Swarovski flutes are pretty spectacular, if your girl is into bling. Any Swarovski Boutique will have them.

If you just want a large selection to browse through, I would go to any nice department store and check out their selection of crystal stemware.

Sounds like she's a very lucky girl.

congrats in advance!!!!

I am into a more modern, clean look... so if your girlfriend also is, she will probably appreciate some champagne flutes from Williams Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn or even the Martha Stewart Collection at Macy's will do...

They don't have a huge selection, but the MoMA store has some really gorgeous ones, if you're into modern design.. Otherwise, Barney's has some lovely, more classic ones, and a much larger selection... But I'm making the assumption that by "in the city" you mean in NYC?

Congratulations on your pending engagement! I hope it's as lovely as the sentiment you're putting into it :}

Barney's is a pretty good option for crystal glasses. You could always do Vera Wang home for more traditional and simplistic ones.

There's always the home oriented boutiques on the upper east side and west village if you're looking for one of a kind items. (Congrats)
