Scones, clotted cream and jam!

I have a sudden crave for some REALLY good scones with clotted cream and jam. Know where I can find some in Brooklyn or Manhattan (hopefully some in the west 30s). Thanks!

I haven't been there in a while, but I remember having some good scones with clotted cream at Tea and Sympathy in the West Village.

Yeah I googled it and Tea & Sympathy, Alice's Tea Cup came up but I was hoping somewhere near work so I can get it before going to work. Thanks though!

arium tea house in the meatpacking district or alice's tea cup (there are three locations).

It is a little pricey but afternoon tea at the Astor Court at the St. Regis hotel is extremely good--all the accoutrements, including a harpist or a classical guitarist! Their scones come out warm and they serve real clotted cream not whipped cream as some places try to palm off.

I know it's out of your way, but I can vouch that the scones from Alice's Teacup are quite tasty. I've also had some good scones from teany on the LES. Do let us know if you find a good place in the 30s.

Awwww I'm sad you can't have my Joan Scone's. I bake them to order and they are the best in Western NY. People just call me Sconie!!

I see alot mentioned about scones, but do any of these recommendations have real clotted cream? After all, that is the best part of afternoon tea, right?!?

Tea & Sympathy in the West Village has real clotted cream...though I personally feel that the best scones are to be found at the upper west side location of Alice's Tea Cup. Go in the morning, right when they open and get any scone that hust came fresh out of the oven - you can't go wrong! They have the most wonderfully moist interior with a buttery crisp surface. If you're lucky enough, you might run into the blueberry-ginger flavour or pumpkin cream cheese, their savoury scones are also worth the extra calories, heheh...^_^

Is the Tea & Sympathy clotted cream real FRESH clotted cream or the stuff out of the jar?

I believe it's out of a jar...but if anyone knows where we can get it fresh, inform us please! :)

Oh yeah..fresh clotted cream, west coast, east coast, Canada...I don't care, I will travel (though not all the way to England, mostly because I don't have the time) for them.
