Jane Curtin's Classic Cooking

Years ago when the Food Network was in it's first year or so, Jane Curtin hosted a program featuring classic black and white cooking shows from the 50s. is anyone else familiar with this? I'd like to find it on DVD.

Is it on this wikipedia list of FN shows?

I don't see her listed as a host, but....maybe the list will spark your memory.

Let us know if you find it, I'd love to see that too.

I remember TVFN showing old Julia Child and James Beard footage but I wasn't aware of any "host." Do you mean Jane Curtin intro'd the shows? Remember the Beard footage with those heavy "around the neck" mics???? These days they can implant a mic in your cheek (or so it seems).

@2qrs - Thanks for that link. Skimming the list made me really nostalgic for great shows gone by (that never should have) and some of the shows occupying the turkey pen these days.

I miss David Rosengarten.
I miss Two Hot Tamales.
I miss Sara Moulton.
I miss Ultimate Kitchens (with Tori Richey - kitchen porn!)
They forgot the original Melting Pot hosted by two young Hispanic chefs.

And Sandra Lee still sucks.

Sara Moulton has a new show on PBS - weeknight cooking. It's worth watching!

Tori Ritchie is doing a workshop here in San Francisco on how to host a TV show. I did a writing class with her a couple of years ago, she's cool!

Tori Ritchie helped me plan my kitchen with the other show from HGTV. It's an addiction don't watch it run away no no.

Jane Curtin sat at a counter top with a totally blank backdrop and briefly introduced each segment. They were more funny than anything ellse. 20 minutes on how to prepare spaghetti and meat sauce taught by an Aunt Bea look-alike.

Melting Pot! I loved Aaron Sanchez.
