Creole mustard??
I just made some dynamite Caper and Mustard Devilled Eggs, a Texan recipe. It called for Creole mustard or grainy mustard. I used grainy. What is in Creole mustard? Can it be replicated with other ingredients? (The eggs were great, lemony and mustardy with capers on top.)

i heard yesterday watching Down Home with the Neely's that creole mustard has some horseradish in it... so maybe mixing a bit of horseradish with your grain mustard you'll achieve the perfect flavor combo...

I use Zatarain's creole mustard whenever I make deviled eggs or potato salad. I don't think it has any horseradish in it. It's a medium bodied coarse-grained mustard.

Zatarain's! You'll have to track it down. In a pinch grainy mustard with some horseradish and some Tabasco/hot sauce.

You can order Zatarains on the net....never heard of horseradish to covert a grainy mustard to creole mustard...
