Scrambled Egg Mountain
My boss, Ziggy, and I are hoping someone out here can help us. We are looking for information, and more specifically, for a recipe for a dish called SCRAMBLED EGG MOUNTAIN, which was featured at the Virginian Restaurant in New York City in the late 40's and 50's. The restaurant was owned by Arthur Maisel. It is our understanding that crowds would gather to see the dish prepared right before their eyes. We have exhausted all the normal resources we can think of and would appreciate any help or guidance you can give us.
Thank you so much,
Laurel Albea

Just an FYI for readers, someone found this in the May 1953 issue of Gourmet magazine. Laurel's told me the University of Houston Culinary Library has emailed her a copy, which she sent me after I'd made some suggestions for creating a new recipe. The original is an interesting technique, more fun than the founder of Pepperidge Farms cooking her own scrambled eggs in a double boiler. ;-)
