piemonte restaurants
We are going to Piemonte this fall and I would like recommendations for great restaurants. We are staying in Bra and visiting the towns around Alba, Barbaresca, Asti, etc.
Thanks,
Deanne

There are a lot of good restaurants in Piemonte, but for the Alba area there's a very good list at Castello di Sinio's website at www.hotelcastellodisinio.com Follow the "wine and gastronomy" link. Restaurant listings near the bottom. We dined at several and our favorites were Trattoria della Posta in Monforte d'Alba, La Coccinella in Serravalle Langhe, and Locanda nel Borgo Antico outside Barolo. They are all superb with wonderful service. Another of our past favorites near Barbaresco is La Contea in Nieve.
Note: Castello di Sinio is a fantastic little hotel in a restored castle. It's own restaurant is exceptional and open to non-guests. Not far from Alba.
