Matcha powder in NYC?
Does anybody know where I can get some besides at ITO-En?
I'm not looking for the highest quality matcha b/c I intend on using it in baked goods but also want something that will impart deep flavor if I use it more simply (like in ice cream).
Thanks!

Here is a list of Japanese groceries that sell lots of basic sundries, from low to high end. I love the JAS marts myself... Good luck! BTW, Matcha powder milkshakes are AWESOME.

Pearl River also has matcha powder. And they definitely have it at the JAS on St. Marks.

Thanks for the suggestions! I actually headed to Sympathy for the Kettle and picked up theirs but at $18 for 2 oz, I kind of wish I had stopped by JAS which I walked right by anyway. It probably would have been less expensive! I did walk into JAS to check but was in a rush and knew for sure Sympathy for the Kettle would have it so I walked right out again!
