Iron Chef America

I was watching tonight's episode and who did I see at the judge's table?

Ed Levine!

So tell us Ed, was this your first time on the show? What was it like?

Here Here... go Ed! Iron Chef just gets better and better. Tighter production, increasingly refined (yet still fun) cuisine, and who doesn't crack up at the "Chairman's" portrayal?!? Gotta say that Ed's a super judge. Much more so than some of the others that frequent the judges table. Give me more Iron Chef, and alot more Ed Levine. Guten Apetit

Ed has has blogged about ICA before.

Judging Iron Chef is fun. The hardest part is pacing yourself as you sample the food. After all, when something is delicious, a serious eater like me wants more. But you can't, because you're tasting 10 or 12 dishes in all and you don't want the judges being full becoming a factor that affects your judgment.

Also, as I've written before the fix is most assuredly not in. You can't even consult with your fellow judges when you're filling out your scorecard.

I think I'm going to be judging in a month or so when they start taping new shows.

I like it when Ed is a judge also...he is fair and unbiased.

It was great to put a face to the name. Great job, Ed! How envious I was of you having to judge dishes which included that ingredient. I adore seafood-the shellfish variety that is.

@wunami - thanks!

Ed, you're good friends with Jeffrey? He's kind of funny.

You must have had some of the best food on that show! Mario Batali, Bobby Flay and Cat Cora. Would it be possible to ask you if you have a favourite?

Mine is Mario.

i just saw that episode last night and with all the comments made by the judges i was sure bobby was going to lose, but he ended up winning.
