Good Breakfast between Charlottesville, VA and DCA?
I'm going to a wedding in Virginia this weekend and am looking for a big (affordable) breakfast somewhere between Charlottesville, VA and DCA. Any recommendations?

Quick question -- does "DCA" = DC area?

DCA means Reagan National Airport. Hmmm, not much in between the two except for some McDonald's and Sheetz stores. I would think someone has to have a good small town place in between the two (unfortunately, it's not me!).

Great breakfast in Herndon which is closer to IAD (Dulles) but could technically be organized to be "on the way" to DCA - Amphora's in Herndon.Greek Pocket = Amazing

Thanks @Dolcezza! I'll look into it.
We're trying to spare ourselves from McDonald's and airport food. Places in Charlottesville are also welcome. Diners get bonus points!

In Charlottesville, there are plenty of great breakfast joints. Some of my faves:
Blue Moon Diner (bonus!!)--on West Main near downtown.
Bluegrass Grill--downtown on 2nd St. just over the RR tracks.
Here is a duke-it-out review between Blue Moon and Bluegrass, both C'ville institutions:

Other places to try:
Cafe Cubano--on the Downtown Mall. More of a coffee joint, but the breakfast burritos and paninis hit the spot. The burritos have an awesome green chile sauce.
The Nook--also on the Downtown Mall. Incredible bacon. What can I say? I am a big fan of bacon. Get something with bacon--the breakfast sandwiches and burritos are great.
The bonus to places on the Mall is that if the weather is good, you can sit outside and enjoy the lovely springtime atmosphere that Charlottesville has to offer.
Enjoy your trip!

If you go through Harrisonburg, there is The Little Grill - a hole in the wall vegetarian joint that has a breakfast soooo good you won't even believe it. Website.

I know of two places: The Rail Stop restaurant in The Plains, GA, about a mile off Route 66 on the main drag of The Plains, which is in Fauquier County. It's right in the middle of the beautiful VA horse country, just south of Middleburg, surrounded by wineries and old Virginia estates. In fact, the 7 miles or so from The Plains to Middleburg is a really beautiful drive.
In Middleburg, which is on Route 50, there is a historic inn called the Red Fox Inn-- I believe the oldest or one of the oldest inns in VA.
I think both places, with enough notice, could give you a private or semi-private room. Both have good food, although the Rail Stop, I think, is the best.

Thanks for the recommendations everyone!
We went to The Nook in Charlottesville and Oh. My. God. it was amazing! I had the eggs and biscuits with sausage gravy and a side of bacon. Really, really good! Perfect for the morning after a wedding (reception was at a winery and I may have overindulged).
Thanks again!
