Going to Hilton Head, South Carolina! Recommendations?
After classes end, almost all the seniors go down to spend a week in Hilton Head, SC before Senior Week and Graduation. We're on Dune and Dove, supposedly close to restaurants, bars, etc. Any recommendations? We're on a college kid budget, so some cheap eats would be great, but also a few nicer places too would be awesome! Thanks!!!

The Salty Dog Cafe in Sea Pines is the place that everyone goes to and leaves with a t-shirt, and the Crazy Crab is good for seafood.
Seriously, you can't go five feet anywhere in the Carolinas without seeing one of those tshirts. I remember the food as been very mediocre, but the area is nice (they have a lighthouse!) and it's an island institution.
for authentic Lowcountry food, try the mainland in Bluffton (Bluffton Oyster Co., right on the May River, or Pepper's Porch).

I love Hudson's! Really great crab legs and hush puppies. http://www.hudsonsonthedocks.com/

I'd second the vote for Hudson's....of course "fresh", but more than that, cozy, warm "glad you're here" service!
