a coke or a beer?

Three foods that we love as kids and adults...pizza, burgers, and dogs.
Question: Do you like 'em with a beer or a coke?...or something else?

Depends on what time of the day we are talking about. Lunch time, iced tea, party time.........there is always a great wine to drink with pizza, burgers, AND dogs!!

I rarely drink pop or beer. Ice water would be my choice but I wouldn't mind a Diet Pepsi

A Coke, please. Not a Pepsi, that's a different drink, and you'd be surprised how many people assume they're not. Beer mostly works for me with carryout fried rice, but I'm talking American stuff. Some of the other beers are nice, like Singha with Popeye's Fried Chicken. (Let's face it; it's made to go with spicy food, right?)

Hmm...I would prefer a beer over any soda any day.
I really like sparkling water with a big juicy burger too

An icy Coca-Cola always hits the spot for me.

I'm a lactose intolerant vegetarian ... but I find I need little chewable excuse to enjoy a good beer!

An RC Cola for me, thanks.. no matter what it's served with. Streaks ahead of Coke and Pepsi.

Ice cold Miller lite...thankyouverymuch!

I don't like the smell or taste of any alcohol, so easy choice: Coke

Given the choice between "cokes" (*nudge southerners*), I'd choose a root beer/sarsaparilla or unsweetened iced tea with a burger or hot dog.

@hammondcheese: You got that right! Of course that's when I want beer-which I'll take with pretty much anything (mmm, hot wings). Most importantly though-is crabs. I mean, the two are meant to be paired.

However, when it comes to Dogs and Pizza-I'm going to have to say Diet Coke.

However, beverage of choice is a Diet and Captain. Can't be beat.

i confess to a deep fondness {rarely indulged} for root beer. or a dr. brown's black cherry.

I'm more of a wine & water person usually, but with these three particular foods I may stray. It may be something different every time though, depending on my craving on that day - could be iced green tea with mint, or Fresca, or Fanta, or even Coke (a rare case), or, on a really hot summer day - a bottle of ice-cold beer (has to be Grolsch though).

Water, iced tea, or fresh lemon or limeade for me.

A big frosty mug of ambrosia........BEER!

Oooh Cybercita...black cherry soda is soooo good!

Da Beers...

A nice hoppy IPA to wash down that burger, pizza or hot dog. Nothing better!

But if it's a fancy pizza, sometime i'll be fancy myself and have a glass (or two, or three) of wine.

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer.

@Butrflygirly ...totally agree...hot crabs, miller lite and summer breeze off the bay = HEAVEN!

Beer or Coke works for pizza, burgers and dogs--just depends on the time or type of day.

For peel & shrimp--must have beer
For hot wings--must have beer
Yeung Ling, Bass Ale, Sierra Nevada Summer Fest or Pale Ale, Red Stripe every now and then.

Definitely a beer, my motto is, if you're going to drink your calories, you may as well get a little buzz out of it :)

I'm a Stella, Guiness, Leffe, Old Speckled Hen girl, myself...I cannot drink Miller lite because my alcoholic uncle always brought his own six-pack to family gatherings.

having to chose between beer and cola (of any ilk) beer would always win in my book; and believe me, that wasn't always true. Being honest, I'd prefer iced tea with these three foods. A squeezed limeade (or lemonade in a pinch) with shaved ice would win any hot day contest in my book. I'd have to say too that I don't consider wine an accompanyment of "fast foods".

Beer.
Mostly.

Sweetea, please!

I can't take too much carbonation...if we're talking ale, I'd probably drink that with it

or an iced tea...quite refreshin'

coke or lemonade

Beer. Ale specifically. Microbrewed ale more specifically. Red Tail Ale from Mendocino Brewing Company even more specifically. YUM!

in the old days, it would have been Coke, but nowadays it's Ginseng Up!!! Cola, Lime or Ginger are my favorites. The carbonation and the pizza just go together. It's not the same to eat a pizza with juice or water...

I don't drink either! Just some cold water, please!

ice cold beer!!!

and i'm a micro-brew snob.

If I had to pick between the two, I'd say beer. But really, I just prefer water. Coke makes me feel full of carbonation (and so does beer but at least I feel like its serving some other purpose).
