What Food Best Describes your Personality?

We all identify with food on SE. We are all passionate about food on SE. Many of the posters are incredible food ICONS in my book! Yes, I already have my "food" idols on SE ((bowing to you!)) Some of us posters are still trying to figure out why we need more than one micorplane grater and why on earth do we get an oven when we buy a stove? BUT, there must be a particular food that you personally identify with, and you say, "That is what I am all about"! What say you, my SE teammates????

I'll start. Popcorn. Love it and have since I was knee high to a grasshopper. I am a "crispy, crunchy, crackly" food gal. Over the years, I have taken "personality profiles", for employment. Still comes back POPCORN!! Thankfully, I am self-employed and can crunch away!

Generally a hot dog of some kind, either a corndog or a coney ... heavily processed at the core and lots of fat-based additives. ;-)

Meatloaf!

But not so much the humble comfort food, but more like the Bat Out of Hell - Paradise by the Dashboard Lights version!

Pie crust.
PROPER pie crust.
Round, buttery, just the right amount of flaky...;-)
A perfect compliment to the filling without overshadowing.
Once you have had it made right, you can never have the imitators!
:D

@srhcb.........Let me sleep on it, baby - baby, let me sleep on it. Let me sleep on it? I'll give you my answer in the morning.

unfortunately, no matter how much tight black clothing i wear, or red lipstick i slather on, or fancy haircuts and hair products i invest in, or high heeled cowboy boots i hobble myself with, or rare steak i eat, or martinis i drink, or pilates classes i take, or off-off-off broadway experimental theater productions i attend, or hip chelsea galleries i visit, or bikini and eyebrow waxes i suffer through, or pedicures and facials i treat myself to, or books by anthony bourdain i read, or foreign capitals i travel to, or progressive jazz i listen to, the food that continues to describe me the best is... granola.

and wouldn't you know, i make my own.

I'm not certain what food it is exactly, but it sure has nuts in it!

The other says I'm "cherry bacon pie." I never had it, but it sounds appealing.

Me, I think I'm chicken salad. I can be traditional. I can be funky and fresh with things like curry powder and fruit. I can be both at the same time. I'm good fodder for all those little bits and pieces you're not sure what to do with. Some days I'm healthy, some days I'm not.

Yeah, chicken salad. That works.

Durian Personality. "Go Away. Leave me alone"

Espresso
Panettone
Pho
Rare steak w/baby red potatoes flavoured with garlic, pepper and olive oil and an ice cold brew
Ratatouille
Haribo Gummi Bears
Key Lime Pie
Pistachio Gelato
French Chocolate Truffles Personality.

Charming, exciting, fun, life of the party, I-Like-You and can definitely make you smile.

Just depends...
:-)

@srhcb, I'm thinking of when he was in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and ended up as dinner ... "DON'T EAT THE MEATLOAF!!!" :-)

Bacon Cheeseburger

Let's try salmon caviar for today. Delicious juicy, round, shiny golden-pink baubles - tiny yet full of life and life-to-be. Salty with an underbite of deep-sea bitter.

Ha, ha, ha ha

Mashed potatoes....comforting & reliable....not matter what else is going wrong in life...you can never go wrong with mashed potatoes!

chicken and dumplings- made by my southern Mama!! And potato salad.

Anything light and healthy and tasty.

Think fruit salad - sashimi - summer rolls - light brothy soups - salads...

If it comes from the earth and not from a processing plant somewhere in America, I am all over it.

Jellied calves feet.

A medium rare ribeye baby!

@Richard - For Real?

Complex red wine... Interesting, rare, maybe good for you, maybe not. Delicious.

key lime pie. sweet, refreshing, and tart all at the same time...

Lemon meringue pie. I have a layer of delicious fluff that everyone enjoys, but I also have a more complicated component if you dig a little deeper...Too bad I'm bad at making the stuff.

Hillary
Chew on That

Dark chocolate

Complex, sometimes a little bitter, a little spicy, indulgent

But also sweet and soft, with a heart that's easily melted!
