Rokeach Nyafat for Passover

Nowhere in Baltimore can I find Rokeach Nyafat. According to one of the men at 7-Mile Market it isn't being made any longer!!! Has anyone else heard about this? I can just see myself rendering chicken fat for chopped liver!

I saw it last night at Giant in Alexandria, Va the Kingstowne store.

I just saw it in my supermarket in NY. Either it's left over from last year, or you should try a different store.

rendering chicken fat is just not that hard. cut up the skin and fat, put it in a pie plate with some onions, and bake it. it's a thousand times better than anything from a jar.

there was a big article about this in the wsj on friday -- they're calling it margarine-gate!

Thank you all! ....yes I saw that article in the NY Times. I managed to get some schmaltz from my mom and I have to tell you it tastes 100 times better. So I figure twice a year all that cholesterol (Rosh Hashana, too) won't kill me!

I guess because our US Government is so bored with what they are suppose to do they went ahead and passed a bill regarding Health that prohibits transfats.
Because of this Nyafat is no longer allowed to be sold or produced in the United States and thats a fact.

You , see, my point all along is..why isn;t any one doing something to get this new form Gestapo President impeached. But no one listens. Its not funny anymore.

Thank You
