Ahhh! Chicago! Got to love a town where you can order a bucket of nothing but Rib Tips! Always hit the spot!
My favorite was Robinsons #1 Ribs (http://www.ribs1.com/)....
Ahhh memories... loved that place! Happy eating!

Ribs n' Bibs in Hyde park. I'm not sure if it is still open but it is awesome. Dingy, smoky, and delicious. When I lived in Hyde Park the fire department was there more than I was. They used real wood and were in a delapidated old building and I think had some containment issues.

I'm a big fan of Lem's, but I haven't been there since Lem died.

Our man in Chicago Michael Nagrant loves Smoque. Many other people really like Uncle John's.

Sweet baby Ray's sauce is awesome. I lived in Chicago for a long time but grew up in St. Louis. STL has a BBQ sauce called Maul's. My favorite sauce is a mix 50/50 sweet babay rays/Maul's w/ onion bits.

Smoque (3800 N Pulaski) is the best in the city for my money.
It's BBQ perfected. Simple, great food done remarkably well.
And their sides (and salad!) are out of this world.

DD&S down on 71st & Cottage Grove was always a good bang for the buck, lots of food. Not the smoke-iest bbq, but good.
Ribs n Bibs had decent hot links.
While its not in Chicago, the Texan out in Algonquin is very good for Texas style ribs.
Smokin Woodys on Lincoln is very good as well.
