What's your favorite ethnic food?
There's so many to choose from, but I know that I couldn't live without Mexican, Italian, Thai and Japanese. Mexican food feels like home to me, Italian food is ... well, it's just obvious. It's beautiful and delicious. Thai food is beyond words and Japanese food is like an art form. What's your favorite ethnic food and why? What are your favorite ethnic dishes?

My favorite ethnic food is Japanese. I could eat sushi all day and night. It tastes so fresh and looks beautiful.

Thai!!!!! Hands down. I am spotty on italian. Shrimp Scampi makes me week in the knees for sure and I love seafood fra diavlo. I have never been a "big" noodle girl, so I stick with linguine and angel hair. Man oh man I wish it wasn't so late here............:-D

Italian--no questions asked. I eat enough pasta for both myself and crazyspice (I make this sacrifice so the pasta makers of the world can make their living). Spaghetti, marinara, chicken marsala, lasagna, tagliatelle, ziti--love them all.

My favorite, hands down, is Ethiopian. I love the berbere that they use to cook the meat with, the cornucopia of delicious vegetables, the spicy, earthy wots, the vinegar-y injera flatbread...all of it. I could eat nothing but Ethiopian food for the rest of my life and be quite happy. :)

I'm not sure I agree with the premise here, though I'm far from PC. Perhaps "ethnic" is meant here as "exotic," or well off the norm for a particular eater.
For me, exotic is Thai, Vietnamese and Laotian! Can't get enough.
