Marathon meal (10-course tasting menu at Eleven Madison Park, 7-train adventures in Queens, etc.) before or after? Yes, there is the sandwiching option, but not all appetites are created equal.

either during -- don't pretend you've never wanted to use "I think I left my wallet in the coat check" and the element of surprise. text messages are excellent for maintaining discretion and composure.
or after. there's nothing sexier than the moment when you touch the other person's arm and they realize "wait, we're going home to... score!". and then welcome to the world's longest train ride.
although, eliot spitzer, I wouldn't try to put multiple moves on your wife just yet. the 10-course meal is consolation prize enough.

Erm, you'll want to keep in mind that, after a large meal, a lot of the blood is diverted to the GI system, typically prompting a nearly unconquerable urge to... nap.

Wow. We are a sharing bunch aren't we? Hmmm...I definitely don't feel um, amorous with a full stomach. I'd say before. I heard someone say before that you can tell when you see a couple on a date and she has just a salad that someone is getting lucky later on. If she has steak, pasta, etc., it isn't going to happen! I didn't say it, just seems fitting giving the question. :-)

It all depends on my dining partner. For one in particular, I'd skip the 10 courses and go straight for dessert if you get my drift, and I know you get my drift. Never ask me to choose between food and sex. And I love food!

Oof, this is a tough question. I would say... maybe after 3 hours of decompression. But if given the choices between right before or right after... definitely before. Doing anything slightly acrobatic, much less sex, after a 10 course meal sounds like a bad idea.
