French Cooking Classes in NYC?
Lately I've been falling in love with French food products. I'd never been a big fan of the heavy cream and butter school, but I do love the other stuff. Does anyone have recommendations for short term French cooking classes in NYC? I don't want to do anything major, just maybe over a couple of weekends. I figure that if anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be my fellow posters at SE. Any ideas? Any Stay Away Froms?

I've taken alot of courses at the Institute of Culinary Education(ICE), and have always loved them. They offer a number of French courses in their recreational division, check it out.

I second that. I have taken classes there as well. Remeber to sign up quickly as space in these classes are limited and you usaually have to take some beginner classes before you move up to more advanced techniques.

I attended ICE when it was still Peter Kump's NY Cooking School. I can't recommend them highly enough. Go online and get yourself a brochure. The online catalogue is nice but the print one is good to have around when you have the time to really browse it.
(Go ahead and just limit yourself to French... Your attempts will be futile!!)

I checked out ICE, and it looks pretty great. I'm really interested in the French Bistro class. One day, $105. I'm gonna try and drag a friend.
And yeah @Chiff, I have a feeling limiting myself to French might be a problem :-)
