Where to Get Reasonably Priced All-Clad Cookware?

If you're prepared to make a pilgrimage to get some low-priced All-Clad cookware, get ready for a roadtrip to western Pennsylvania.

The All-Clad manufacturing folks in Canonsburg, PA, put on a fantastic "seconds sale" twice a year, usually in December and June, at the Washington County Fairgrounds in nearby Washington, PA.

Here's the address:

2151 North Main Street
Washington PA USA 15301
(724) 225-3151

This sale does NOT get advertised on the All-Clad website, so the exact dates for June & December 2008 are unknown (at least to me). The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has announced the dates in the past. I plan to call the Wash. Co. Fairgrounds closer to June to find out more. You may wish to call them and/or check the Post-Gazette, too.

I'm letting the cat outta' the bag on this one because the information was much appreciated by others in another Talk topic thread . . . and because its just the nice thing to do.

Anticipate the factory sale June 6 & 7, 2008. I have been several times and am on the mailing list, however, the mailing doesn't arrive more than a week before the sale. The Crate store in Pittsburgh (Greentree Rd Shoping Center) is a "Participating Retailer" (whatever that means!) and is always listed on the mailing. The store website is www.cratecook.com and they show these June dates.

Great buys to be had even as the gas prices escalate.

@travels: I found the sale info on the Crate website. Thank you so much for sharing it!

My employer recently moved our office near Greentree Road and I'm so curious about Crate. Didn't even know about it and just learned that I could take some cooking classes there after work [BIG SMILE]. You just made my Monday.

Pass it on! I am about a 3 hour drive away, but can usually find some other bargain hunter to ride along to Washington PA and we make a day of it. The prices lower and condition of pieces better than what I have seen on All Clad & Emeril pieces at TJ Maxx. You are lucky to be so close.

What kind of prices are we talking about....say on a 14" open stock frying pan w/lid?
I picked up the stainless steel buffet casserole w/stainless lid for $29.99 at Marshalls....are the prices comparable?

Maybe it wasn't All-Clad...now I have to go home & check it! I just looked at Metro kitchen web site, and they were showing that piece for $244.95....I don't think it was All Clad if I got it that cheap at Marshalls!

OK....I checked it...it's Cuisinart....looks identical to the All Clad pan. Sorry!

DECEMBER ALL CLAD Seconds Sale is scheduled to be Fri/Sat, December 5-6, 2008 at the Washington Co Fairgrounds, Washington PA.

Example of prices, at the June sale I bought a Copper Core Chefs sauce pot (Emerilware) for $26.20.

Aways worth the drive.

Most the the All Clad I own now, I bought at the factory sale when it was still held at the factory. My only regret is that I didn't buy more of it. But that was also before All Clad had gotten the recognition it has now. I recall certain snooty people turning their noses up at my All Clad and saying, "I never even heard of it. I have Calphalon!"

@travels: Thanks, again, for the intel. I'm going to get some All-Clad Christmas presents!
