When you over-indulge...

what is your "go to" remedy for a queasy, bloated, nauseous feeling stomach?

When I was working in kitchens, I kept a bottle of Angostura Bitters behind the line. A couple of shakes and some club soda and things improved tremendously!

What works for you? The old stand-bys: ginger ale, baking soda and water or peppermint? Or something totally off the wall?

Can I even say this on a non-porn related website? I usually get totally naked, hop in bed and open the window all the way so that the cool air hits me. It makes me feel better EVERY TIME and I've been doing that since I was a kid.

Ginger ale with crushed ice. Oh, and PumpkinBear is right... the cold air thing works like a charm!! If all else fails I keep a couple of tablets of Phinegran (spelling?) on hand to stop the dry heaves. It's available by prescription only but... oh, baby, it WORKS!!!

LOL on the "naked" thing.

Guess I should have specified - this doesn't necessarily have to be over indulging of "adult beverages." Sometimes you over indulge on food too!

Wow. PumpkinBear, thank you for validating the very same thing that I do when I don't feel good! Except, I turn the A/C on full blast and lay beneath the vent. Needless to say, my college roommates did not appreciate this. lol

Aside from the nudity, however, I eat wads of pickled ginger. If you're averse to the taste of pickled ginger, then I obviously don't recommend it and would point you in the direction of other ginger-based foods or beverages. But pickled ginger does the trick for me every stinking time. :)

I go for something salty/sour/spicy, for example a cup of greasless chicken broth with a splash of lemon or vinegar, and as much cayenne as I can handle. Then I'll fast for the remainder of the day, or the next day, to give my GI tract a break.

lol... I meant over indulging on food... not "adult beverages". grin. I have a super sensitive tummy and quasi-frequently get some form of stomach flu which makes me sick as a dog. Last time it happened I wound up hospitalized for three days!!

I wasn't talking about getting naked just when I'm drunk. I totally do it when I have a normal ol' tummy ache.

Lots and lots of water. After feeling less bloated, my next meal will probably be a salad. Whether or not I will be naked at the time, remains to be seen ... :D

hot ginger tea made double stregnth with a little grated fresh ginger in the water. I go through alot of ginger because overindulging for me can be what most ppl think of as an appetizer :(

I'm normally not a hot tea drinker but it often helps, then I crawl into bed, pull the blanket tightly over my entire body including my head, curl up, and go to sleep. If I'm really ill, e.g., nausea or vomiting, I skip the tea and go straight to bed to sleep it off.

When I was in college, I waited tables at a local restaurant and the Angostura Bitters with club soda was the big recommend. I forgot about that until now. I am a big fan of ginger for relief in tummy. I am not a big eater, so I rarely get a tummy ache from eating. Get the posse together and the wine flowing....................

Loose pants, mint tea, and - if I feel really sick - crystallized ginger. Hey, I'm sick - I'm allowed some candy!

Airborne always makes me feel better instantly - might even be placebo effect, but it gives me a boost.

drink the juice of 2 lemons or limes like a shot... this helps my queasy stomach instantly.

I am having a mental image of a bunch of people hanging out, naked with ginger, ginger ale, bitters, club soda, lemons etc all on a coffee table in front of them - talking about what brought them there: too many martinis or too much kung pao.

LOLOL
