What do you drink when you're at home?
When I'm at work, I tend to just grab a Coke Zero from our office's super cheap (25 cents!) vending machine, or I hit the bottled water.
At home it's a different story, besides water, coffee, etc., I am a huge fan of Teisseire Fruit Syrups at French Feast, or Amazon . I mix them up, 5 tbs of syrup with an equal amount of lemon juice per liter bottle of Smart Water. I have 5 different bottles of syrup sitting in my fridge as I type this.
What's your favorite at home drink? Alcoholic drinks are allowed :-)

Coffee in the morning, until it runs out. Then, iced tea. I've got a half-gallon jug in the fridge, and by the time I go to bed, it's usually empty. I toss tea bags in there and water, and put it back in the fridge for the next day. Tea is usually some herbal thing. Celestial Seasonings, mostly. Mint, Raspberry Zinger, something like that. Right now it's Bengal Spice.
Sometimes I'll make hot tea.
Sometimes in the evening, I'll have a glass of wine or something else with a little kick.
During the Christmas season, there may be a jug of eggnog around.
Other than that, water. From the faucet.

@chisai - I love that stuff. My favorite is 1/2 passion fruit and 1/2 orange. Mostly though, at home I drink a lot of lemon water, or home made lemonade, made with simple syrup, or hot ginger lemon tea. I go through a lot of lemons.
rockykay at 4:12AM on 02/19/08
coffee is my usual tipple. hot in the winter months and in the summer iced made in my toddy maker (12 hr cold brew system) Also iced tea and lemon water.
huney_bumper at 8:32AM on 02/19/08
One cup of coffee in the a.m. (and like you, huney_bumper, I do hot in winter, cold-brewed iced in summer), and otherwise mostly (tap) water. And once in awhile, an extra-spicy ginger ale or a cup of hot tea, usually peppermint.

Sorry to say it's bottled water all day (aqua fina), I've tried so hard to like tap water but haven't been able to get there yet. While cooking dinner a glass of wine helps to inspire culinary adventure. Then back to water for the rest of the night. We weaned ourselves off sodas with artificial sweeteners after I read Skinny Bitch, so just very occasionally with popcorn I crave a diet caf-free coke, so I indulge then.
Coffee on the weekends AM and hot tea weekdays AM sometimes. And weekends, hubby and I share a wide variety of adult beverages.
Also, several times a week I have to have a dopa espresso around 3PM when I start feeling the fade-out.

Same thing I drink everywhere else.
Hot drink: Coffee (the stronger the better).
Cold drink: Club soda or seltzer (fizzy water of one variety or another).
chiff0nade at 10:51AM on 02/19/08
Freshly ground and brewed coffee in the morning (made by my husband, the former barrista)
A lot lot lot of seltzer when I'm home
bitchincamero at 11:25AM on 02/19/08
Depends on my mood and energy level. The day almost always starts with water and vitamin C. Then it's diet coke and/or tea or coffee (I really like the Green Mountain Southern Pecan right now), 2-3 cups or cans. I follow that with water or flavored seltzer (Polar brand. Usually Black Cherry or Pink Grapefruit.). Around dinner, it's either more water or seltzer, but often it's wine. Unless it's whiskey. Generally single malt.
Amandarama at 11:28AM on 02/19/08
Tea or coffee (I'm supposed to limit my caffeine intake, but oh well...I should have never opened that espresso/cappuccino machine!)
We have a GE water cooler, so for the most part, it's water. For hot summer days, I also make iced green tea with lemon or iced coffee.
And frederika, I, too, fancy a glass of wine while cooking dinner:-)

The daily essential is coffee. If I don't get at least a cuppa, major withdrawal headaches ensue.
Most days, I'll have a diet crack or diet Dr. P, although I do skip some days, or double-up on others. It's all about the bubbles and the caffeine. I often sub plain seltzer if it's just bubbles I'm looking for.
I throw in a V8 or tomato juice every now and then, for variety. Otherwise, not a fan of juices. Too sweet. Rather just eat fruit.
Hubby and I share a bottle of wine about 3-5 evenings a week. Usually red, but sometimes white, or maybe prosecco. I could easily drink it every single day, which is why I don't!
Iced tea is way big around my house. I drink it several days a week, but not daily.
A big glass of cold milk before bed most nights, but not all.
Water all throughout the day and overnight. Yes, overnight. Some nights I don't even wake up for a sip, but usually I do. And I just about have anxiety attacks if there isn't water on my nightstand. Guaranteed insomnia.
LoCo at 3:05PM on 02/19/08
(i) two cups black tea in the morning
(ii) green tea all day long
(iii) cocktails and wine before/during/after dinner
other than that, britta water.
pemabuk at 3:57PM on 02/19/08
A variety of beverages...mostly water which is from our Brita or O Water (all flavors)
No soda for me and I usually avoid seltzer.
I like coffee...strong and black
Tea...various types...all without milk or sugar
Iced espresso on occasion
Small amount of juice in the morning mixed with water.
Wine...red or white...a glass in the evenings...a few nights a week.
Pawsinhand at 4:04PM on 02/19/08
coffee in the morning, lots of water during the day (and maybe a 7-up).
at home, sometimes milk if it's in the fridge, maybe a Bell's or mixed drinky-drink, and more water.
redhead at 6:38PM on 02/19/08
Whole milk, Carnation Instant Breakfast mixed with whole milk or good ol' water.
JEP at 7:00PM on 02/19/08
What I've been drinking since I was a kid:
- water (room temperature)
- iced green tea
Cassaendra at 11:20PM on 02/19/08
tea. i have a stovetop espresso maker that extracts so much caffeine from the coffee i brew in it that i'm ready to jump out of my skin after a cup. so instead i have hot irish breakfast tea with a splash of milk and a lump of sugar in the morning, then water.
cybercita at 11:45PM on 02/19/08
Coffee, then it depends on what I have around. If I'm being really good it's bottled water or Brita water. If I'm being really bad it's Coke. Never diet. I drink V8, orange juice (no pulp), cranberry juice, grape juice, apple cider, iced tea, lemonade, Boston iced tea. I only drink hot tea when I'm sick (with toast soldiers of course). I never have a glass of white milk, but give me chocolate milk or a black and white milkshake and I'm wearing a smile. I love a glass of red or white wine and I just bought some beer to try, because of the microbrewery question. Got some Killien's Red, but haven't opened one yet. On a rare occasion I'll have a gin and tonic. martini, margarita, Bailey's, armagnac.......
PerkyMac at 1:16PM on 02/20/08
Chai in the morning. A cup of coffee with soy milk on my lunch break at work. Other than that, I drink mostly tisanes (I'm a big fan of mint tea).
KarynMC at 1:28PM on 02/20/08
I don't even get out of bed until I hear the coffee grinder go off, thanks to dear hubby.
During the day, more coffee & ice water, must be ice cold, can't stand tepid water. Occasionally, iced tea or soda with lunch, but try to stay with water.
During the summer, its all iced coffee. I love the toddy maker method, like huney_bumper mentioned. Makes the best full strength iced coffee. I have been known to make a mean 'iced coffee' out of a triple shot of espresso, dissolve the sugar while it's still hot, some half&half to cool it down, and lots of ice. Or I'll run to starbucks for a venti ice coffee, best bang for the buck at Starbuck's.
At night, I'm an unabashed party animal. just joking. But I do love wine for almost every occassion. Beer if its football season. Margaritas if it's summer and the girls are coming over.
wookie at 1:50PM on 02/20/08
Coffee, Brita water, Tazo Chai tea, Stloli or J.D....in that order.
bessfour at 2:14PM on 02/20/08
At home...hmm, lets see. Usually just water or tea, just like at work! Occasionally I'll treat myself to a Jack Daniels Black Jack Cola..mmmmm...
