Wedding/reception locations in the Boston area
So, I recently became engaged and am starting to begin the long process of wedding planning. People have informed me that the first thing to do is book a location.
The catch: my fiancee and I are both vegetarian and it's quite important to us that the food we serve is meat-free. Also, we want food that is exceptionally yummy! Any ideas for catering? Restaurants? We are not attached to having an evening affair, so brunch/lunch/afternoon tea are options as well.
Since we are also in our early 20s and will be funding the affair ourselves mostly, we need to keep things on the moderately priced side.

Have you started browsing wedding websites like TheKnot.com and Brides.com yet? Or how about local wedding magazines? Here in Houston, we have about five different "Houston Wedding Planning"-type publications, so I'm sure that Boston has at least that many or more. Usually, the aforementioned wedding websites' forums are a good place to start, since many other brides and grooms have dietary preferences like yours.
A quick Yahoo search for "Boston wedding reception vegetarian" also turned up a few resources for you. MyBostonWedding.com seems to be a good site and led me to Hotel Marlowe, a beautiful Boston boutique hotel that does weddings with vegetarian menus.
There are tons of resources out there (I'm a newlywed and just went through this whole brouhaha not long ago...), you just have to be persistent and patient with your research. Have a wonderful time planning your wedding! It's a lot of fun. :)

My husband and I had our reception at the Milky Way last year and I highly recommend it. We used to live in Jamaica Plain and we came all the way back from NY to have our wedding there! They have good vegetarian options, a lot of our friends are vegetarians so it was pretty important to us. And the quality of the food is good, my husband's a cook and it's up to his standards. It's totally affordable too - we were on a tight budget as we paid for it ourselves. And best of all we had a blast! Our friends and family all agreed that we threw a really fun and memorable party.
