PrintVegetarian in the East Village
I'm looking for restaurant recomendations in the East village/ lower manhattan area that are vegetarian or have a good selection of vegetarian options for a birthday dinner, something festive with good food, it doesn't have to be overly fancy. Any suggestions?

great vibe, excellent selection of veg food in a laid back yet festive atmosphere.. and right in the center of the whole st. marks/ abc city area so you're right where you wanna be. check the menu:

there's also angelica kitchen on 12th street and second avenue.

There are so many great places in the East Village that have vegetarian options that aren't strictly vegetarian restaurants - I lived there for many years and am vegetarian, so I know!
