Vanilla Tootsie Roll Frosting!

Eating a Vanilla Tootsie Roll earlier, I noticed it tasted a lit like Vanilla icing. Has anyone ever thought of melting some down and using it to frost a cake?

That's a scary thought, especially if it firms back up to tootsie roll consistency once on the cake.

If it's too thick you could thin it out with a little cream?

I think my teeth hurt from just thinking about how sweet that would be. LOL

You could probably thin it with cream or better yet, corn syrup.
