I'd rather not eat soggy _____

No soggy cold cereal for me---I will put a small amount of Kashi GoLean Crunch or Cinnamon Wheat Promise in bowl with just enough milk to moisten, eat & repeat process until full. I cringe when my breadstuff may have untentionally soaked up juices from an entree or vegetable--now if I want to dunk my bread or biscuit, that's intirely different! On the flipside, I like shortcake biscuits that have juicy strawberries on top & then pour cream around the sides so it's pretty mushy but eaten quickly while still warm. Also like to dunk gingersnaps in milk until soaked. When do you say "no thanks, I'm not eating soggy ____"?

ANYthing. I seriously dislike squishness of any sort (I even eat my fruit greenish and crunchy). Although... I do like cold chips and roasted potatoes, which I've heard others describe as soggy, but to me lack the wetness that makes something 'soggy'.

Sweaty, soggy donuts. The kind that people buy at the store in a pack. I skeeve that. I want my donuts fresh and not sweating.
Fries, once they have become soggy I cannot eat them. I have eben known to send them back and tell them to fry me up some fresh ones.

"Never Eat Soggy Wheaties?"

Seriously, I dig soggy food. I realize I am in the minority. I've been told that the way I eat my cereal is entirely unamerican. I wait until my rice krispies have totally stopped snap-crackle-popping, and my flakes are mushy.

@Jerzee..."sweaty donuts?" Too funny!

Limp lettuce! I don't mind lettuce on a burger, but it had better be good and crisp when it hits the burger - in fact, I'll put in on top of the tomato to ensure maximum crispness. And soggy lettuce or greens in salad - well, 'nuff said.

Soggy cold fries. I too will send them back. It is a travesty to the pomme frite to serve it anything less than sputteringly hot!

Maybe it's sounds obvious, but anything that's supposed to be crispy: lettuce, anything fried, raw apples, raw vegetables in general, bacon.

Also, one thing I can't stand, and don't get why anyone enjoys: braised green beans, cooked until you can cut them like butter. ugh. Give me blanched, bright green beans. Actually, come to think of it, I my preference is usually for raw or lightly cooked in general, for fruits and vegetables.

Bean sprouts. Raw (or barely-cooked) bean sprouts are succulent, with a fresh, green flavor. Overcooked bean sprouts taste like lawn clippings.

I'm with you Kerosena :) I love my 'squishy' fries, non-crunchy cereal, sopping up soup, etc., with my bread. Mmm.

I love the sog!

Like mongoose, I will not eat soggy anything, be it cereal, greens, bacon, chips, biscuits, etc., I never ever dunk anything in milk (this actually had more to do with the fact that I never wanted my milk "dirty"...laugh all you want!) Bread - only if I myself chose to use it as a mop, otherwise -- no, thank you. I do differentiate between moist and soggy - as in, I like my cake moist, but not soggy. Does it make any sense? To me it does, anyway:-)

When I eat cereal (Life), I let it sit on the counter for 5 minutes before I eat it. =) Of course, since I'm lactose intolerant, a couple of hours later, what goes in pretty much looks just like what comes out.

Hmm, I don't like soggy/wet cookies or donuts (I'm not a dunker), nor do I like them so dry that it feels like I've swallowed a bag of flour...probably the reason why I can't stand scones and crumbcakes. :x

When I eat Life cereal, I grind it up in the bowl, dry, with the bottom of a mug. It helps to speed the sogging process. Have done this since I was a (strange) kid.

Same for me with "anything that's supposed to be crunchy," i.e. foods whose sogginess is uncharacteristic for them.

I love: Crunchy Crusty Breads.
But also love: Summer Pudding, Bread Pudding and French Toast.

It's a paradox. This question made my head hurt! :D

Soggy, mushy vegetables are definitely on the "do not eat list"! Over-dressed salad greens hit my yuck button, too. Oh, almost forgot about soggy pie crust--like one for a cream or lemon meringue pie.

The only soggy thing I like? Soup.

I'm with you on the cereal. I have a complex about milk in cereal. I use one tablespoon of milk. One tablespoon.

I think it's because my one grandmother used to make me drink soggy cereal milk after I finished my cereal. I still cringe at the thought of sugary, Raisin-bran brown milk. Blech.

Bread... as in stuffing, dressing or whatever you want to call it. It is truly the only soggy thing that engages my gag reflex.

I always flip my burger/sandwich over. Has anyone else noticed that the bottom of the bun is thinner than the top? and since the hot, juicy burger patty/chickenfillet/or other hot filling sits on the thin piece while its being plated & carried from the kitchen to the table, as soon as its set in front of me, I flip the sandwhich so that the juices are running in the other direction toward the thicker top which is now the bottom. I eat it upside down for about half or two-thirds of the sandwhich and then its safe to flip it back upright. Sometimes despite all my manueverings, the bread still becomes too soggy (wet and cold--nothing worse than cold meat juice) for me to eat, at which point I discard the offending piece of bread and eat the sandwhich without bread.

soggy = mushy = overcooked pasta

The funny thing is, I don't mind soggy cereal! What I do hate is soggy leftover salad...though I'm not sure I know anyone who would like it!
