I like watching Mark Bittman's "Minimalist" videos and listening to Lynne Rossetto Kasper's "The Splendid Table," both available on iTunes for free.

I used to never miss Good Food, on KCRW – hosted by Evan Kleiman (there are both audio and video podcasts). Essentially it is an hour long food talk show with guests and interviews. Really good stuff (although I have fallen behind in my downloaded episodes and need to catch up).

I like Merrill Shindler although he is very slow in having new shows listed and I am just now getting into "The Splendid Table".

I've listened to the Splendid Table a couple of times, and although I like the content and think she has wonderful stories, something about her pseudo-seductive, just-you-and-me in the kitchen voice and speech patterns really grates on me.

Eat Feed is pretty good and NPR's Hidden Kitchens. But The Splendid Table is a cut above the rest, grating voices or not.

For a great wine podcast updated almost daily try Gary Vaynerchuk's Wine Library TV. It's available on itunes or you can watch it on the website. It's very informative and addictive!

Splendid Table is my favorite. Other shows often let their very learned (but very monotone) guests yammer on in jargon for too long with no interruption, but she is good about asking clarification questions and keeping things interesting. I listen to it in the car and gym, both places where I don't want to fall asleep!

I have been completely addicted to Splendid Table for at least a year. I love it, love it, love it. Jane and Michel Stern crack me up every time.

All of NPRs food-related podcasts are great. Check out gourmet.com - the website is redesigned, and excellent.

I second the podcasts other recommended, but I haven't found any amateur podcasts that I like. They tend to go on too long, or have too militant of an agenda. I'm thinking about doing my own based on what I like and dislike from others' podcasts.
