I too think that Blue Smoke is great.
Acme Bar and Grill on Great Jones is good too.I love their meatloaf!

Virgil's on 44th between 6th and 7th. (Times Square). They're open late so so it's perfect for after-theater. Try the barbeque sandwich topped with slaw. Ribs, chicken, it's all great!

Daisy May's Burnt ends, sides whole pork butt all very good.
