Professional Knife Sharpening
Can anyone recommend a professional knife sharpener in NYC? The only one I can find by searching is Henry Westpfal on 25th street. Any others? Thanks in advance.

margery cohen sharpens knives every wednesday and saturday at the chelsea market, and i highly recommend her work. you can visit her website at www.samuraisharpening.com.
you can also get your knives sharpened at the broadway panhandler, but i think margery's work is better.

Ugh. I just had this conversation TODAY with someone. When I was a kid, the "grinding" truck used to mosey down our block every now and then. We'd tell him to wait, run inside, gather everything with an edge, walk carefully back to the truck and return home with scalpel-sharp knives and scissors. It's impossible to find this service in Florida! I wish you better luck in NY. You guys have everything - I have every faith you'll be able to find one.

Thanks for the memory, Chiff. We had the same thing in Baltimore MANY years ago. Too much of a liability these days!!
