This month's Food and Wine magazine has some really great pasta recipes in it. They all appear to be fairly quick and easy, using fresh ingredients. I plan to try a couple of them myself.

Sounds delicious! I got some jalapeno and cumin pasta from the farmer's market this weekend that I'm looking forward to using.

if you're in an indulgent mood... Try this Baked Pasta with 4 cheeses - it's the last meal I would order. It's just decadent.

Also, you can try this Everyday Food recipe... Pasta with goat cheese and SunDried Tomatoes.

Who doesn't love pasta? It's so cheap and filling, and you can make it differently everytime! I, however, do enjoy the staple pasta with meat sauce; had it again last night!

Ah, the versatility of pasta. Dress it up or dress it down. It's easy, it's quick and it satisfies my constant craving for carbs! Fresh pasta, olive oil, garlic, parmigiana, pepper and oregano.
I'm a happy camper.

Pasta is one of the best kept secrets of bargain cooking. Good for you having discovered it! Pasta got a bad rap from low-carbers but if it's whole grain, it's packed with important energy giving components. As long as you move around somewhat, mangia away.

You mentioned an Asian prep but keep lots of petite diced tomatoes in your apartment and you're good to go for a quick tomato prep with basil, garlic, olive oil.

And pasta never hurt Sophia Loren.

Pasta is amazing! It can be done so many ways, but I love the traditional the best and i just found an amazing Bolognese sauce:

Sounds like you might need a spaghetti tree.

They come in bonsai size for apartment patios or fire escapes.

I love pasta during the winter. It is so filling and delicious. I am eating last night's dinner - rigatoni, spicy italian sausage, purple onions, garlic, homemade marinara with a touch of heavy cream and fresh parsley.

Ok, so this may sound disgusting to some of you, but it wasn't too bad. I baked off some chicken breasts with cumin, cayenne pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika & chili powder. I roasted a bulb of garlic until soft and caramelized and pureed it with some canned green chilies. I took about 3 tablespoons of ranch dressing and mixed it with the garlic/chili puree and tossed that with the cubed chicken and whole wheat rotini pasta, topped that with shredded cheese and baked it until the cheese melted. Pretty tasty, and cheap.

Tasty Morsel, your recipe sounds great! I am all for green chile and savory spices.
