Okay, here goes:
New Ciao Chow -111 Mott St. in Chinatown, Best wonton soup you ever tasted
Chelsea Market- 9th Ave. and 15th, get sushi at the Lobster Place, and just taste something from each store ( it is the home of the Food Network)
Lower Eastside- Have brunch,on a weekday at Clinton St. Baking at 4 Clinton St., then walk down to Rivington, stop at Falai for a bite, then go right, and stop at the Streits Matzo factory, on to Economy Candy, and Sugar Sweet Sunshine Bakery for coffee and applecake.
Bryant Park- Get a sandwich at 'Wichcraft, and eat in the park.
Greenwich Village- Stop at Fish, 280 Bleeker, great Asian oysters, then go to Pearl Oyster Bar for a lobster roll(18 Cornelia St.),stop at Murray's Cheese and Amy's bread on Bleeker
Houston St.- Jonah Schimmel knishes, Russ and Daughters appetizing(buy stuff to takeout)
Eat At: Otto( Mario Battali's) for fun and pizza, Cafe Loup,13th St.(quiet bistro), Bridge Cafe(very old, right under the Brooklyn Bridge), Gigino at Wagner Park ( food is ok, but view of the Hudson is fantastic), eat at a museum, get doughnuts at the Doughnut Plant
Stop at Kalustyans for Middle Eastern spices
Go to the Union Sq. green market
I could go on and on, so I'll just stop now, but maybe I'll continue later!
